JOIN OUR TEAM

Heroes and Horses is an innovative nonprofit based out of the Gallatin Valley. Our mission at Heroes and Horses is to offer combat veterans an alternative solution for defining and approaching their physical and mental scars—a solution that does not include prescription medications, or traditional psychotherapy, but rather the opportunity to use tools to redefine their purpose, rediscover their inner strength, and maximize their potential by taking ownership of their lives for the first time since leaving service.

OUR CULTURE

Our culture at Heroes and Horses is something that we have worked really hard and deliberately to create. We are high-functioning, dedicated employees, and expect the same of those who join our team. We are in the business of changing lives. This takes ordinary individuals willing to do extraordinary work. Our culture is dynamic and constantly evolving which requires forward thinking individuals willing to work together as a team to do whatever it takes to get the job done. With a sound emphasis on flexibility, we have established clear internal guidelines to make sure that all team members stay on track and connected. The Heroes and Horses team engages in quarterly shared experiences to emphasize the importance of team building, and our culture is one that supports and develops personal growth.

OUR CORE VALUES

Our core values are our guiding principles at Heroes and Horses.  In addition to displaying passion, staying self-motivated, and responsible we expect you to display the following at Heroes and Horses:

Humility: Humility is an outward expression of how we approach situations and circumstances in our daily lives here at Heroes and Horses. We serve a mission greater than serving ourselves, so that others may live a life of purpose. We do not force ideas, but rather share and manage a process where change is authentically shaped by each individual. It's never about what we want, it’s about helping people identify what they want for themselves.

Integrity: We are entrusted with public resources in good faith that they will be used for their intended purpose. We commit to being honest, transparent and having strong moral principles in all aspects of our organization, particularly as it relates to finances and internal operations.

The Power of Mindset: What you believe, you will become.

Innovative thinking: We utilize innovative, never-before-seen programming, and consider ourselves to be pioneers within the non-profit space in our approach and processes. We adjust, change and move with constantly evolving conditions. As a team, we collaborate on decisions and practices, choosing the best option to drive our mission forward. Our focus is always on improving and bottom line results.

Selflessness:  We never make it about “me”, always “we”, and always in the best interests of our veterans and organization first. We serve others before ourselves - always giving a hand up, not a handout.
