Heroes and Horses Appoints New COO


Manhattan, MT, (March 1, 2018) – Heroes and Horses, a Montana-based nonprofit organization dedicated to the reintegration of veterans suffering from PTSD, has appointed Luis del Valle as Chief Operating Officer. 

“Bringing Luis on board is one of the key steps toward the growth and scale of Heroes and Horses. Our mission and message is expanding, making organizational development a ‘must have,” said Micah Fink, CEO of Heroes and Horses. “Luis' experience, knowledge and operational skills add to our already strong team, and will further advance our vision of reintegrating our nation’s combat veterans.”

Luis graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Military Institute, and later went on to obtain his MBA from Cornell University. Luis has spent 28 years in the Marine Corps, both Active and Reserve, and he just completed a 2-year command tour of 1st Civil Affairs Group in Camp Pendleton, CA. In addition to being the new COO of Heroes and Horses, Luis is also serving in the Reserves as the I Marine Expeditionary Force liaison officer to Marine Forces Pacific.  

“I am thrilled to be joining the Heroes and Horses team,” said Luis. “The organization has accomplished a lot in a short period of time, and I am looking forward to helping them get to the next level.”
